| How do you see Obama as US president? | | I'm hoping to get the opinions of our American friends here as they are in the best position to comment. However, I'm not discounting the views of non-Americans and you are most welcome to share. I'm wondering how do you see Obama as the president of USA now? It seems like he is getting a lot of negative ratings and it's the total opposite of the perception of the people prior to his election. He is being criticize left and right. Maybe it's best to hear from you.[em]happy[/em] | |

| which US president do you think was the best president in Amercian History? | | President Obama is doing his work at the moment and it will be too early to comment on His work for the time being. But when we looked at the American history, there were some presidents who really influence the history of mankind.George Wasington,Abraham Lincoin,Ronald Reagan and of course our famous Kennedy.Their speech were all so attractive and their work had high impact to the whole world.Let's say if you want to vote for the best American President in human history, whaich one will you vote and why do you vote for this particular president? | |

| 75% of OK High School Students Can't Name First U.S. President!! | | Is that pathetic or what??? I'm not picking on the kids and I don't mean to single out Oklahoma; I'd bet if there have been similar surveys in other states the results would have been similar. (Note to Taskr and some of my other friends here from the right: I didn't use a liberal hate-blog this time.)http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2342086/postsQuite a few years ago my sister-in-law told me this story about her niece, who had just graduated from high school at the time with high honors and had earned a full academic scholarship to a very good university; there was a conversation about the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and this highly intelligent girl made the comment of, "Well, aren't they the same thing?". This lack of knowledge about our own nation's history is nothing new but I'm afraid it's getting worse all the time. People are so quick to liken one of our current leaders - whether it's Bush, Obama or anyone else - to Adolph Hitler without having a real clue just how evil Hitler was. So many seemingly well-informed and intelligent Americans have no idea what any of our wars were about. If you have teenage children or grandchildren, how would they measure... | |

| What does Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd US President, say about Healthcare reform? | | Thomas Jefferson wrote theDeclaration of Independence, and was our 3rd President. I found these quotes he made and I think we consider them, especially in regards to his health care reform debate."Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases.""Most bad government has grown out of too much government." | |
