Ron Paul At SRLC 2010
The Southern Republican Leadership Conference had a straw poll and Congressmen ron paul lost to Mitt Romney by 1 vote. Here is the link, http://www.srlc2010.com/srlc/srlc-2010-straw-poll-results/ Early this year Congressmen Paul won the CPAC straw poll. Currently we have poll showing that a head to head match up between Obama and Paul, Obama 42% to Paul 41%, the rest undecided. Today I was watching a GOP senate primary debate and one of the candidates was asked about his opinions of ron paul. The candidate had only negative opinions about Congressmen Paul. It is interesting to me how the GOP just do not get it.
Would the RNC actually support Ron Paul for president?
According to a recent poll, Ron Paul would be the best candidate to run against Barack Obama. He is only trailing Obama by a few points in the poll. The Republican National Committee is no fan of Ron Paul, they can't control him, and they know it. So my question is: Does the RNC want Obama out of office so bad that they would support someone that they don't support?
They Just Love Ron Paul Down There
For what ever reason Ron Paul had to face three Republicans for the Texas 14th Congressional district seat. Paul won with 80.7% of the vote. Here is the breakdown, Ron Paul – 45,947 votes – 80.76% John Gay – 3,003 votes – 5.27% Tim Graney – 5,536 votes – 9.73% Gerald D. Wall – 2,402 votes – 4.22%
Is Bernanke a liar or did Ron Paul leave his tinfoil hat at home that day?
Ron Paul goes on a huge rant about how the federal reserve did this or that. Bernanke tells him that he can view every financial transaction the fed was involved with and a full transcript of the FOMC meetings after 5 years have passed. So is what Bernanke saying is not true or what? Because if it is true it makes it look like RP is a tinfoil hat nut job.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncw39IADHa4
Will Ron Paul's Age Be An Issue?
With Dr. Ron Paul winning the CPAC straw poll, Paul one would have to assume would be one of the favorites for the GOP nomination in 2012. Problem is Dr. Paul, who was born in 1935 will be 77 in 2012, and with victory would put him at 81 come the end of his first term. Now granted people are living longer fuller lives, but I could see Dr. Paul's age becoming an issue. On the flip side it is interesting that the oldest man in the field has the youngest support base. To another subject about Dr. Paul's victory, a few years back he only received a couple of percent of votes. Dr. Paul's opinions have not changed, so do this mean the opinions of the Republican base has?
Ron Paul, Why does everyone bash him?
I was listening to CNBC this morning and they were interviewing him, and attacking him on his economic ideas, and his theory of ending the Fed, and the IRS. I have also heard right wing hate radio attack him for his ability to win polls, but not primaries. I also heard the audio from Ron Paul's victory at the CPAC conference, and there were a lot of boos. Why do you think that the right wants to attack someone who represents more of their platform than their mainstream candidates?
What About Ron Paul?
I have heard some about Ron Paul, and think that somewhere I've read a little about his stand and or beliefs within the American political system. What do you feel are his good or bad points?I can't remember what he was for and against, and I'm curious.ThanksC. C.
Ron Paul won straw poll at CPAC
So I am a liberal-leaning moderate but I am curious to ask conservatives: Do you think Ron Paul winning the straw poll at CPAC has any meaning and if so what does it mean? I've heard Mitt Romney won it the last 3 years in a row. Also, who do you think has the best shot at winning the republican primary in 2012?
U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas Bill aduit the federal reserve has been gutted
Hopefully voters have woke up to the fact change is not always goods and people that just vote blindly for change have convinced them self's they are most dangerous voters to the county. Maybe the voters on Tuesday will send some liberals packing up their duds and moving them out of there comfort zones. Ron Paul had 300 co-signers on this bill but looks like it will be killed,it is a shame we can not get honesty and justice out of the white house, what say you? U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-TexasRep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, has complained that the bill he sponsored calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve has been "gutted" by congressional committee, pointing specifically to a legislator whose campaign coffers have been boosted by the banking industry. As WND reported, Paul sponsored H.R. 1207, a bill requiring the Federal Reserve – an organization that's independent from the U.S. government but nonetheless oversees U.S. monetary policy – be opened to oversight by Congress. The plan compiled over 300 co-sponsors in the House before being sent to committee. But in a telephone interview with a Bloomberg reporter, Paul said the teeth have been ripped out of the bill....

Ron Paul, R-Texas, says his plan has reached 300 co-sponsors in the U.S. House.(Federal Reserve)The legislation calls for a full and complete audit of the Federal Reserve by the Government Accountability Office, reported to Congress by the end of 2010."I continue to be pleased that so many of my colleagues are willing to stand up for transparency and accountability in government by cosponsoring this bill," Paul said today. It was just a week earlier that the first hearing on the plan was held by the House Financial Services Committee."We are serious about some legislation," said U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, a key manager for financial legislation in the house and the chairman of the banking committee. He reported he was working on language that will allow for disclosure of Federal Reserve actions,...
