| How was Jimmy Carter ineffective? | | I keep hearing republicans refer to jimmy carter as the most ineffective president the nation has had. How was jimmy carter an ineffective president? From what I have gathered, I think that jimmy carter is an honest and realistic man. And I think he is even the only president who still had the spotlight day after resignation! How was this realistic man ineffective? | |

| It was so distressing to hear about Jimmy Carter | | Former administrations have come to the support of present administrations before. Afterall, that is a part of politics. But to hear Jimmy Carter compromise his spiritual base..to, in essence, sell himself to become an Ozombie was quite disheartening.
Granted, he was far from the best administrator this country has ever had, but his christian roots were strong. I can't help but wonder what this administration presented to him to make him turn from that foundation of human compassion to his present state of affairs as puppet to the puppet..

| Jimmy Carter is calling me a racist! How dare he?! | | The most ineffective president in history so far is calling me and everyone else who disagrees with our president a racist. I don't think Mr. Obama has the best interests of our country at heart. He might think he is doing a good job but he is driving us into third world status. The country is collapsing economically and socially. And I'm a racist because I don't like his methods?!Are you a racist? Or would you disagree or agree with the president based on his policies and not his skin color? I don't care if he's purple with orange stripes, I'll still disagree with policies that harm my country.[em]angry[/em] I think this is yet another ploy to divide and conquer the people. | |

| Former President Jimmy Carter right middle man between Obama and Hamas~ Right? | | Former president Jimmy Carter may be the man choose to be the middle man between Barack Obama and Humas.
In your opinion how effective would the former president Jimmy Carter be in this role?JERUSALEM – Former President Jimmy Carter passed a message to Hamas from the Obama administration, according to senior sources in the Islamist group.
Youssef said, however, Carter is the "right person" to serve as a middle man between Hamas and the Obama administration. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=101288

| Jimmy Carter has no class as a former president | | I've said this before regarding his attacks on Bush, but apparently he just can't help himself. Now he feels it necessary to go after Obama for not wanting to release the abuse photos. He's also criticizing Obama for not prosecuting former Bush officials. To all those people who are starting threads telling Cheney to shut up, how do you feel about a former president, and a democrat, criticizing him now? | |

| Jimmy Carter | | Do you agree with him that peace in the Middle East is possible?I don't. I believe only Jesus will be able to bring any lasting peace. | |

| When Sen Ted Kennedy lost the Dem Primary to Jimmy Carter... | | He refused to support Jimmy Carter on principle, because he didn't believe Carter was qualified (and he was proved RIGHT).Now, Hilary Clinton is angry that the Republican Committee is using her words against Obama.
People are getting robocalls playing the tape from the primary where she said there is no on the job training, no time for speeches and nice words... "Senator McCain brings a lifetime of experience" and "Sen Obama brings a speech he made in 2002"So she is saying she doesn't approve her words being used against Obama and she fully supports Obama. How do you think people will feel about this later, if Obama is elected and it turns out that he is NOT up to the job after all? Do you think Hillary will be called out on her enthusiastic support of Obama?
Was Ted Kennedy correct to stand on principle and not support his party's candidate when he felt he wasn't qualified?

| Is Obama just another Jimmy Carter? | | This author seems to think so, and the parallels between the two campaigns and the national attitude are eerily similar and by no means should be discounted out of hand. Anyone who does so is willfully ignorant of history. In 1976 so anxious were voters for change and fresh faces that they ignored their doubts about Carter's inexperience and questionable policies and took a chance-- to this nation's great detriment. Carter was a HUGE disappointment to the nation and his policies only made a difficult situation worse. Obama, like Carter, demonstrates no ability to lead a nation and has no record with which to judge his future ability. Just charisma and charm and ALOT of empty promises. http://www.ashbrook.org/publicat/oped/busch/08/obama-carter.html | |

| Jimmy Carter says . . . | | That it was Bill Clinton that sunk Hillary's chances. That is really amazing coming from a one-term wipeout in 2nd election President speaking about the party's only candidate to win more then one election since FDR. I think Carter feels he is a lot more famous and successful then he really was in his time. What absolute hubris. | |

| Jimmy Carter speaks on primary | | and he had harsh words for Hillary. basically stating that she will harm the party if as expected next week she loses the delegate count. is it just me or do others wonder what the heck Carter is talking about. just last month insiders were seriously considering NOT inviting him to the convention because he just met with terrorists of our ally. what's with this guy? | |
